They said it...
The fastball is a plus pitch and the curve is plus at times, but he doesn't have a good third pitch and his command of his fastball and his offspeed stuff is below-average. When he gets behind in the count, that neutralizes his curveball as a weapon because it means hitters can gear up for the fastball.
