40-man rosters were set this weekend in preperation for the upcoming Rule V draft.  The players listed below are now protected by their organizations and can't be selected.  This is not the complete list, but rather the list of notable prospects.  Teams with no players listed still protected players, just not any notable prospects.

• Mauricio Robles battled extreme control issues on Sunday, as the Mariners prospect walked seven of the 11 batters he faced, reports Mike Curto of The [Tacoma] News Tribune.
• Adrian Cardenas had an RBI single in extra innings to help lead his A's teammates to victory, notes The Sacramento Bee.
• Pirates pitching prospect Rudy Owens threw seven scoreless innings, says Nancy Zinni of PiratesProspects.com.
• Eric Surkamp struck out 10 batters as the Giants LHP prospect tossed a seven-inning complete game, reports Andrew Pentis of MiLB.com.
• Jiwan James went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple in support of Phillies teammate Trevor May, who struck out 11 batters in six innings of work, notes Adrian Martinez of MiLB.com.

• Jiovanni Mier hit his first home run of the season as part of a breakout day for the Astros short stop prospect, says Andrew Pentis of MiLB.com.

Sunday

• Mets 2010 first round pick Matt Harvey finally gave up a run as a professional, but it was unearned, leaving him with a still spotless ERA, notes Josh Jackson of MiLB.com.
• Bobby Borchering's season is off to an incredibly slow start, but he burst out in a big way on Sunday with a 4-for-5 day at the plate, including a home run, says Ashley Marshall of MiLB.com.  That's good news for the Diamondbacks, who need some right now after watching top pitching prospect Jarrod Parker struggle yet again in his second start back from Tommy John surgery.  Parker allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, and while his velocity is back to its previous levels, his command and slider are still trailing behind, says J.J. Cooper of Baseball America.
