• Leon Landry's solo home run was the difference in his and his Dodgers teammates Midwest League victory on Monday night, reports The Grand Rapids Press.
• Indians LHP prospect Mike Rayl earned his first Carolina League victory on Monday, fanning 11 batters in just five innings of work, notes David Schoenholtz of MiLB.com.
• Ryan Lavarnway hit his 30th home run of the season to help his Red Sox Triple-A teammates extend their division lead, according to WPRI.com.
• Christian Friedrich allowed just one hit over six innings of work, including five no-hit frames for the Rockies prospect to start the game, notes David Schoenholtz of MiLB.com.
• Carter Capps made his professional debut on Monday night, allowing three runs in 4 2/3 innings in what Robert Emrich of MiLB.com describes as an "up-and-down" first outing for the new Mariners prospect.

 

Prospect Action - Arguelles, Martinez, Goldschmidt, Montero

• Royals prospect Noel Arguelles lost a no-hitter in the seventh inning on Tuesday night, says Danny Wild of MiLB.com.  Fellow Royals prospect Chris Dwyer fanned nine batters over eight innings to defeat Rockies pitching prospect Christian Friedrich, who got shelled to the tune of nine earned runs in 2 1/3 innings.
• Carlos Martinez fanned six batters in as many innings as the Cardinals prospect's fifth start in the Florida State League, notes David Schoenholtz of MiLB.com.
• Paul Goldschmidt hit his minor league-leading 30th home run, reports David Heck of MiLB.com, in support of fellow Diamondbacks prospect Tyler Skaggs, who gave up just one unearned run over six innings of work to earn a victory.
• Yankees C prospect Jesus Montero went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run.
• Phillies prospect Julio Rodriguez turned in another strong outing in High-A ball, striking out seven batters in five innings and allowing just one unearned run.

• Acting as the DH on Sunday, Red Sox catching prospect Ryan Lavarnway slugged a pair of home runs, reports WPRI.com.
• Caleb Gindl, an OF prospect of the Milwaukee Brewers, hit for the cycle, notes Andrew Pentis of MiLB.com.
• L.J. Hoes and Joe Mahoney both enjoyed 3-for-5 days at the plate for the Orioles Double-A affiliate in Bowie, according to Jeff Seidel of BowiePatch.com.
• Rangers prospect Jake Skole had a big day on Sunday, recording four RBI's and hitting a home run, reports The Hickory Daily Record.
• Christian Friedrich went a career-high eight innings in his latest start, as the Rockies LHP prospect allowed just one run, says David Heck of MiLB.com.

• Elih Villanueva threw six innings but the Marlins pitching prospect took the loss on Monday night, reports Tim Grubbs of NOLA.com.
• Yankees top prospect Jesus Montero knocked two more hits, says The Virginian-Pilot.
• Stetson Allie made his professional debut for the Pirates affiliate in State College, allowing three runs in 2 1/3 IP, striking out three batters and walking the same amount, reports John Parker of MiLB.com.
• Rockies lefty Christian Friedrich tossed six scoreless innings on Monday night, fanning three hitters, notes Andrew Pentis of MiLB.com.
• Rays OF prospect Desmond Jennings homered, reports BisonsBlog.com.
