Vizcaino, a 19-year-old right handed pitcher, was signed by the Yankees during the 2007 international signing period for $800,000. He made his professional debut in the states (rather than playing in the Dominican Summer League), playing in the Gulf Coast League as a 17-year-old, and playing this past season in the New-York Penn League.
10:28 am: Joel Sherman tweets that the New York Yankees will be sending their top pitching prospect, Arodys Vizcaino, to the Atlanta Braves, in a deal that will include starting pitcher Javier Vazquez. The deal will also include Melky Cabrera and prospect Mike Dunn heading to the Braves, and reliever Boone Logan going to New York.
