Link: Padres' Tate on the Mend from Sports Hernia Surgery

Donovan Tate, the San Diego Padres top pick (3rd overall) in this past year's draft, is recovering form off-season sports hernia surgery to correct a tear he sustained while jogging right after signing, reports Bill Center of the San Diego Union-Tribune.  The injury caused Tate to miss out on the Arizona Instructional League this fall, but he should be ready to go for Spring Training.
