- Corner infielder Gaby Sanchez has been recalled by the Florida Marlins to take the recently demoted Andrew Miller's place on the big-league roster, reports Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald. Manager Fredi Gonzalez says that Sanchez will begin on the bench behind current third baseman Emilio Bonifacio, but if Bonifacio's OPS continues to hover in the low 600's, a change could soon be in order.
- Marc Topkin of the Tampa Tribune is reporting that the Rays have promoted starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson to Triple-A Durham, where he will make his first start on Friday.

Martin's long trek through the minor leagues, we have the small yet important piece of information that the Nationals second pick in this year's 1st round, reliever Drew Storen, has been promoted to High-A Potomac. Storen signed almost immediately and has struck out 26 hitters in 14 2/3 IP in Low-A ball without walking a single batter.
