- Nolan Reimold may have taken his time through the Baltimore Orioles' farm system, but as Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports, he appears quite comfortable now that he has finally reached Triple-A.
- In the continuation of the Chicago White Sox revolving leadoff-hitter door, second-baseman Chris Getz appears headed to the bench thanks to an injury to his finger, reports Tony Ginnetti of the Chicago Sun-Times.
- Getz' injury is only minor, but Milwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Lorenzo Cain has a more serious injury to overcome. We will know more after an MRI, but Cain suffered a knee injury diving for a ball and, as Tom Haudricourt and Anthony Witrado of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report, if surgery is necessary, it will end Cain's season.
- The New York Yankees have called up relief pitcher Mark Melancon, notes Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News, and he made his debut vs. the Red Sox in this past weekend's series at Fenway Park.
